Job Description:
The Pharmacist works in both clinical and central pharmacy settings, overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently. The role involves supervising and verifying technical work, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and promoting safe and effective medication use to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure timely, accurate completion of tasks.
- Supervise and verify pharmacy technical work.
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Assess medication selection, dosage regimens, and administration methods.
- Monitor drug therapy and promote safe, effective medication use.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate-level degree – REQUIRED.
- Active Maine Pharmacy License – REQUIRED.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
