Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The Medical Assistant or LPN supports clinic operations by managing patient flow and assisting healthcare providers with patient care for individuals of all ages. Responsibilities include clinical and administrative tasks, patient communication, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients, record information, and support clinic workflow.
- Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed by providers.
- Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and conduct laboratory tests as needed.
- Provide telephone support, assist with prescription refills, and coordinate communication between patients and providers.
- Support front-desk check-in, inventory management, and prior authorizations.
- Perform X-ray duties if qualified and authorized.
Requirements:
Medical Assistant candidates:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (ABHES/CAAHEP) or qualifying RMA program with required experience and certification documentation.
- Current BLS certification.
LPN candidates:
- Active Minnesota Practical Nurse (PN) license verified through Nursys at submission.
- Current BLS certification.
