LTC Nursing Assistant
Job Summary:
Provide direct support to residents with activities of daily living, mobility, nutrition, toileting, documentation, and routine care while working closely with nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, toileting, positioning, and transfers.
- Assist with lifting, turning, moving, and transporting residents safely.
- Support meal service, tray delivery, feeding assistance, and meal intake documentation.
- Deliver nutritional supplements and document intake.
- Obtain and document resident weights and report significant changes.
- Monitor and report skin concerns, pressure areas, breakdowns, or skin tears.
- Assist nursing staff with toileting programs.
- Complete daily flow sheets and document resident progress as directed.
- Report resident condition changes and any barriers to care to nursing staff/supervisors.
- Provide general supportive services to nurses and other staff as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience – Required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent – Required.
- Travel experience – Required.
- Active Michigan license/certification at time of submission – Required.
- BLS certification through AHA – Required.
- No active disciplinary action against certification – Required.
- Stable work history demonstrating assignments/work periods longer than 13 weeks – Required.
