MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST (MLS)
Seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform laboratory testing and analysis that supports the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The MLS will conduct testing according to established quality control, accreditation, and safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluid, and other body fluids
- Analyze and identify blood cells using microscopic techniques.
- Perform blood typing, grouping, and compatibility testing for transfusions.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.
- Prepare and document laboratory reports and test results.
- Follow QA/QI, infection control, and safety standards.
- Identify problems and implement appropriate solutions.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of MLS experience – Required.
- Blood bank experience – Required.
- ASCP certification – Required.
- BLS required.
- Travel experience preferred.
SCHEDULE:
- Night shift.
- 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM.
