PHLEBOTOMIST
JOB SUMMARY:
The Phlebotomist is responsible for providing a positive patient experience while collecting and processing quality specimens accurately to support diagnosis and treatment.
Shift Times:12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet patients and the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Perform venipuncture accurately while minimizing patient discomfort.
- Properly identify, label, register, and accession specimens according to established policies.
- Understand appropriate needles, anticoagulants, specimen handling, and test preparation.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.
- Assist with specimen processing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of phlebotomy experience – Required
Phlebotomy certification – Required. - Experience working with neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations – Required.
- Candidate permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility – Required.

- Phlebotomy skills checklist completed within the last year. (Required).
- 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years. (Required).
