About the Job
Nurse Practitioner – Pediatric Inpatient Neurosurgery
Schedule:
3 x 13-hour day shifts per week (6:00 AM–7:00 PM).
No nights, no call, and no holiday shifts.
Weekend coverage required as scheduled.
Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient pediatric neurosurgery patient care.
Round with residents, review patient care plans, enter orders, evaluate patients, and manage discharges.
APPs do
not
assist in the operating room; responsibilities are patient care only.
Experience removing Hemovac and JP drains is preferred.
Requirements:
Minimum
1 year of neurosurgery experience.
Board Certified in Neurosurgery.
Active Massachusetts license
(required at submission; facility will not license).
Experience with
Epic EMR
required.
Additional Information:
Credentialing timeframe is approximately
90 days.
Travel expenses are all-inclusive.
Overtime is paid at the regular hourly rate.
Holiday hours are paid at
1.4x
the regular rate.
The first
8 hours of orientation are non-billable.
