Locum Electrophysiology APP (NP/PA) – Ongoing Assignment
Healthcare organization seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for an ongoing full-time locum assignment beginning September 1. This role supports a collaborative cardiology/electrophysiology team across clinic and hospital settings with exposure to advanced cardiac procedures and post-operative patient management.
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday.
- 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
- Flexible scheduling available.
- Full-time coverage needed (40 hours per week).
Practice Details:
- Electrophysiology / Interventional Cardiology setting.
- Mix of clinic, hospital, and academic/training environment.
- Average patient volume: 18 patients per day.
- Adult and geriatric patient population (ages 18–100)
- Dedicated assigned clinical support team.
- EMR: Epic.
- Hospital size: 270 beds.
Clinical Exposure:
APP will not perform procedures independently but may manage patients pre/post-operatively related to:
- Pacemaker implants.
- ICD implants (traditional and subcutaneous).
- Loop recorder implant/explant.
- Cardiac ablations (AVNRT, SVT, AFlutter).
- Interventional cardiology procedures including PCI, angioplasty, balloon pump, and heart catheterizations.
Requirements:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Active state license required.
- DEA required.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, or Electrophysiology experience strongly preferred.
Credentialing:
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days.
- Temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean file.
