Locum NP/PA – Trauma Surgery
Seeking an experienced Acute Care NP or PA for a locum Trauma Surgery assignment with coverage available from May through July, offering up to full-time hours. This is a Level I Trauma Center position primarily serving as a trauma hospitalist, managing inpatient trauma patients, responding to trauma activations, ED consults, admissions, and daily rounding. ICU coverage may be required based on experience.
Position Highlights:
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
- No call required (in-house coverage only).
- EPIC EMR.
- Autonomous practice with 24/7 Trauma Surgeon support.
- Adult and adolescent patient population, with occasional pediatric cases.
Requirements:
- Board Certified Acute Care NP (ACNP/AGNP) or PA-C.
- Active Minnesota license.
- ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.
- DEA.
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient APP experience, preferably in trauma, ICU, or orthopedics.
- Experience with trauma procedures such as chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, ventilator management, and suturing preferred.
Local candidates are preferred.
