Locum NP/PA – Trauma Surgery Opportunity
Join a dynamic Level I Trauma Center as a Trauma Surgery NP or PA with the opportunity for full-time coverage (May–July).
Position Highlights:
Rate - $130-$150 per hr
- Full-time locum opportunity (May–July)
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- No call – in-house coverage only
- Work alongside a Trauma Surgeon available 24/7
- Manage trauma patients, perform daily rounds, facilitate admissions and discharges, respond to trauma activations, and provide comprehensive inpatient care
Average daily census:
- 10–14 non-ICU patients
- 6 ICU patients
- 2–15 admissions/ED consults per 24 hours
- EMR: Epic
Preferred Skills & Procedures:
- Trauma and inpatient management
- Ventilator management (BiPAP/CPAP)
- Chest tube insertion
- Central and arterial line placement
- Suturing minor lacerations
Requirements:
- Board Certified ACNP, AGNP, or PA-C (FNPs not accepted)
- Active Minnesota license
- ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- DEA
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient APP experience, preferably in trauma, ICU, or orthopedics
- NPDB Self-Query required at submission
- Local candidates preferred
