Locum Cardiology Nurse Practitioner – Inpatient Hospital Coverage
Hospital-based inpatient cardiology team seeking a locum Nurse Practitioner for ongoing coverage beginning in October due to provider medical leave. This is an inpatient-only general cardiology role focused on consults, follow-ups, patient management, and care coordination in collaboration with attending physicians and hospitalist teams.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 4x10 schedule
- 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- No call required
- Holiday pay at 1.4x regular rate
Practice Details
- Inpatient hospital setting
- General Cardiology consult service
- Adult patient population only
- No procedures required
- Mix of patient care and care coordination responsibilities
- Provider will see new consults and follow-up patients
- Team structure includes 2–3 advanced practice providers alongside 1 attending physician
- No dedicated cardiac unit
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner license required
- DEA required
- Board certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Experience with inpatient cardiology strongly preferred
- Comfortable managing consults and follow-up care in a hospital setting
- Providers requiring licensure will not be considered
Credentialing & Interview Process
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 3–6 months
- 1–2 phone interviews possible
- References preferred prior to acceptance and may be submitted before or after interview
