Patient Account Representative – Follow-Up / Cash Posting
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of hospital billing experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow up on insurance claims, underpayments, and denials.
- Work with commercial payors, including Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Horizon, and IBX.
- Verify patient eligibility with insurance companies.
- Communicate with patients and insurers regarding copays, deductibles, denials, and Coordination of Benefits (COB) issues.
- Resolve patient accounts accurately and promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service.
