NOW HIRING: MEDICAL ASSISTANT / LPN
Position Overview:
The Medical Assistant supports providers in delivering patient care and managing clinic workflow. Responsibilities include clinical and administrative duties while assisting patients of all ages, from infants to older adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients and assist with clinic flow.
- Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed by providers.
- Collect laboratory specimens and perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Perform clinic laboratory tests.
- Provide telephone and front desk support.
- Facilitate communication between patients and providers.
- Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
- Perform X-ray duties if qualified and authorized.
- Order and stock supplies.
- Communicate patient concerns and updates to the healthcare team.
Medical Assistant Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (ABHES or CAAHEP) OR completion of an eligible Registered Medical Assistant program, qualifying work experience, and passing the RMA certification exam.
- Current BLS certification.
- Clinical setting experience.
LPN Requirements:
- Active Minnesota Practical Nurse (PN) license at the time of submission.
- Current BLS certification.
- Clinical setting experience.
Certification Requirement:
- BLS certification required.
