Certified Medical Assistant (Internal Medicine)
Rate:
- $19.90 – $27.00 per hour (dependent on education and experience)

Position Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical support under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, emotional stability, confidentiality, and the ability to deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, laboratory tests, and other procedures within the scope of Medical Assistant certification.
- Assist physicians during examinations, including obtaining vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments and assist during procedures.
- Escort patients to and from exam rooms as needed.
- Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Return patient phone calls and provide instructions as directed by the physician.
- Maintain medical records, including referral forms, laboratory slips, and other documentation.
- Requisition and maintain adequate clinical supplies.
- Assist with nursing procedures as directed by the physician.
- Support additional duties assigned by management while operating within the scope of certification.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of at least 2 years in a formal Medical Assistant curriculum or equivalent Medical Assistant training (Required).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Medical Assistant experience in a medical setting (Required).
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (Required).
- Active BLS Certification (Required).
