Medical Director – Hospital Medicine
POSITION SUMMARY:
Seeking an experienced Hospital Medicine physician leader for a full-time Medical Director role overseeing inpatient hospitalist services. This position focuses on clinical leadership, operational oversight, quality improvement, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery and departmental performance.
SCHEDULE:
- Full-time day shift leadership role.
- Monday – Friday.
- Approximately 40–50 hours per week.
- No weekends.
- No on-call responsibilities.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the Hospital Medicine team.
- Oversee inpatient care delivery, workflow, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with administrative and clinical leadership teams.
- Implement best practices to improve quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital protocols.
- Support physician recruitment, onboarding, retention, and mentoring efforts.
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and workflow management.
PRACTICE DETAILS:
- Community-focused inpatient hospital medicine environment.
- Leadership-focused role with operational and clinical oversight responsibilities.
- Experienced candidates required; new graduates will not be considered.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required.
- Active state medical license or willingness to obtain required.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience required.
- Acute care leadership experience highly preferred.
- Clean malpractice and license history required.
- Current NPDB Self Query report (within 30 days) required at presentation.
- Visa candidates not accepted.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- BLS.
- ACLS.
- DEA.
- PALS.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility.
