Join a collaborative academic healthcare team as an Internal Medicine Faculty Physician focused on resident education, health equity, and value-based care. This leadership opportunity combines direct patient care with hands-on teaching and mentorship in an innovative clinical learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as core faculty for an Internal Medicine residency track focused on health equity.
Supervise and mentor residents in outpatient clinical settings.
Teach evidence-based primary care, population health, and value-based care principles.
Guide residents in integrating social determinants of health and equity-centered care into clinical decision making.
Participate in lectures, journal clubs, case conferences, and resident workshops.
Mentor residents in quality improvement projects, research, and scholarly activities.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacists, social workers, behavioral health specialists, and care managers.
Deliver comprehensive Internal Medicine care using population health tools and coordinated care strategies.
Support curriculum development aligned with ACGME competencies and evolving healthcare initiatives.
Qualifications:
Completion of an ACGME or AMA-accredited Internal Medicine residency program required.
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine required.
Active Texas medical license or willingness to obtain required.
Interest in academic medicine and resident education required.
Experience in medical education, population health, health equity, or value-based care strongly preferred.
Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative care skills preferred.
Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred.
