Temp – Registered Nurse (RN) – Observation
Seeking an experienced Observation RN to assess, implement, and monitor patient care for patients assigned to observation status.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing care according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, transfers, call lights, and responding to alarms.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and collaborate with the care team to update care plans.
- Process and carry out provider orders accurately and promptly.
- Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Observation RN experience – Required.
- Epic EMR experience – Preferred.
- Active Michigan RN license – Required.
- Current AHA BLS – Required.
- Current specialty skills checklist – Required.
- 2 supervisory references completed within the past 2 years – Required.
