OBSERVATION REGISTERED NURSE
Position Overview:
✓ Provide skilled nursing care to outpatient patients assigned to observation status
✓ Assess, implement, and monitor patient care according to physician orders and accepted nursing standards
✓ Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide safe and effective patient care
✓ Provide skilled nursing care to outpatient patients assigned to observation status

✓ Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide safe and effective patient care
Responsibilities:
✓ Assess patients' needs and provide skilled nursing services according to the plan of care
✓ Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and treatments
✓ Respond to call lights and alarms
✓ Assist patients with transfers and other care needs
✓ Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and participate in updates or revisions
✓ Process physician/provider orders accurately and in a timely manner
✓ Follow up on medication changes and clarify orders as needed

Requirements:
✓ 2+ years of Observation nursing experience – Required
✓ Epic EMR experience – Preferred
✓ Active Michigan RN license – Required
✓ Active American Heart Association BLS – Required
✓ 2+ years of Observation nursing experience – Required

✓ Active Michigan RN license – Required
✓ Active American Heart Association BLS – Required
Submission Requirements:
✓ Work history
✓ Observation Skills Checklist, current within 1 year – Required
✓ Two Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last 2 years – Required
✓ Proof of active Michigan license through LARA and/or Nursys – Required
✓ Current AHA BLS – Required
✓ Work history
