CVOR REGISTERED NURSE – TRAVEL
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, comprehensive care to surgical patients before and during cardiovascular procedures. The RN will develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinate the OR team, and maintain patient safety throughout procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess surgical patients and develop individualized plans of care.
- Implement, evaluate, and document patient care during procedures.
- Supervise activity within the operating room.
- Coordinate room schedules and anticipate changes.
- Assemble necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist anesthesia as needed.
- Monitor and maintain the sterile field.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR staff, and leadership.
- Participate in staff education, in-services, and continuing education.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of CVOR experience – Required.
- Open Heart experience – Required.
- Recent travel nursing experience – Highly Preferred.
- Active Michigan RN license – Required.
- BLS (AHA) – Required.
- ACLS (AHA) – Required.
- Current CVOR skills checklist.
- Two recent supervisory references.
