POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join a growing public accounting practice. This is a high-impact opportunity for a tax professional with strong experience in complex taxation who is looking for a stable, long-term career with opportunities for professional growth and potential firm ownership.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, along with strong client advisory and tax research skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES"

  • Lead preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns.
  • Prepare and review returns for individuals, C-Corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with current IRS and state tax regulations.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and provide proactive tax guidance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and provide tailored financial solutions.
  • Research complex tax issues and assist with IRS or state-level inquiries.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
  • Review work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support client retention and business growth initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience.
  • Strong experience with corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
  • CPA or EA highly preferred.
  • Experience with tax preparation and accounting software such as UltraTax, CCH, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and client communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work in the office at least 3 days per week.
  • Local candidates or candidates willing to commute are preferred.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
