Mobile Sonographer
Position Overview:
Seeking a skilled Mobile Sonographer to provide portable ultrasound services in a variety of healthcare settings, including nursing homes, home care facilities, correctional facilities, and other clinical sites. This role requires independent travel, performing diagnostic ultrasound exams, and transmitting images to radiologists for interpretation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality general and vascular ultrasound examinations using portable equipment.
- Travel between patient care sites throughout the assigned region.
- Verify physician orders and patient identification before each exam.
- Upload diagnostic images for radiologist review.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with dispatch and clinical staff.
- Care for and maintain ultrasound equipment and company vehicle.
- Provide professional, patient-centered care while working independently.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS or CCI certification required.
- Registered in General and Vascular Ultrasound (RVT & AB, RVS, or ARRT R.T.(VS)); dual modalities preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area and lift portable ultrasound equipment.
