Permanent Sonographer

Pay: $35–$40/hr based on experience

Role:

Provide mobile ultrasound services at nursing homes, home-care facilities, prisons, and other patient-care sites.

Duties:

Perform and process ultrasound exams using portable equipment, digitally transmit images for interpretation, manage assigned cases through self-dispatch, maintain equipment/vehicle, complete documentation, and communicate with dispatch and facility staff.

Requirements:

Echo and Vascular modalities required; ARDMS or CCI registration for vascular ultrasound required; limited licenses not accepted.
Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
Valid driver’s license required and subject to periodic checks.
Must maintain required certifications/registries and health requirements.
COVID-19 vaccination required or approved exemption.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
Must be self-motivated, dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills and basic smartphone/computer skills required.
Must be comfortable traveling and transporting ultrasound equipment weighing approximately 18–20 lbs.
Facility staff handles patient transfers, positioning, and assistance.
