About the Job
Perm – Sonographer – General
Seeking a General & Vascular Sonographer to provide mobile ultrasound services across various healthcare facilities and patient care settings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform portable ultrasound exams and obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Process and electronically transmit studies for radiologist interpretation.
- Verify physician orders and patient identity before exams.
- Maintain accurate documentation, billing paperwork, equipment, and vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, facilities, patients, and clinical teams.
- Respond to urgent communications promptly.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and travel between assignments.
- Train other technologists as needed.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and safety standards.
Requirements:
- General and Vascular Sonography experience required.
- ARDMS or CCI registration for vascular ultrasound required.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- ARDMS certification required; limited licenses not accepted.
- COVID-19 vaccination required, or approved exemption documentation.
- Must pass drug screening and background check.
- Strong organizational, communication, smartphone, and basic computer skills.
- Able to travel between assignments and handle portable equipment.
