Temp Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Home Health (Days)
Rate:
- $55–$85+/hour (inclusive of stipends)
Position Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for providing speech therapy services to home health patients. The primary function of this role is the delivery of direct patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, and participating in the development and implementation of each patient's comprehensive plan of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy evaluations and treatments in the home health setting.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and communication strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Utilize rehabilitation equipment and communication aids as appropriate.
Important Notes:
- This is a Home Health assignment.
- Candidates must provide at least two specific interview dates and times of availability with their submission. "Anytime" will not be accepted.
- Travelers must have their own reliable vehicle.
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the assignment location are not eligible.
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission. Scheduling requests made after an offer may result in the offer being rescinded.
- Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
- Overtime and holiday pay: 1.25x the regular rate
- Call, call-back, and charge responsibilities do not apply to this assignment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of Home Health SLP experience (Required)
- Valid Driver's License (Required).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Required).
- Acute care experience (Preferred).
Licensure & Certifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) (Required).
- Clinical Fellow candidates will also be considered.
- Active Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist License (Required).
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification (Required).
Required Submission Documents:
- Current work history.
- Speech-Language Pathology Skills Checklist (within the last year).
- One supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment.
- Degree documentation.
- CCC documentation.
- Massachusetts SLP license.
- BLS certification.
