PHARMACY TECHNICIAN III
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician III for a travel opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient and retail pharmacy experience, IV compounding skills, and the ability to work independently under limited pharmacist supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare, mix, compound, dispense, and control medications and pharmaceuticals.
  • Perform hazardous and non-hazardous medication compounding.
  • Follow hospital pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Work independently with limited direct pharmacist supervision.
  • Operate pharmacy computer systems, automation software, and medication dispensing technology.
  • Perform accurate calculations involving fractions, ratios, and decimals.
  • Assist pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare team members with medication-related tasks.
  • Maintain medication and inventory control.
  • Perform deliveries as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience – REQUIRED.
  • Retail pharmacy experience – REQUIRED.
  • Minimum 6 months of current or previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience – REQUIRED.
  • Hazardous and non-hazardous compounding experience – REQUIRED.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB – REQUIRED.
  • Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician registration/license in hand at submission – REQUIRED.
  • Current BLS certification – REQUIRED.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Must have reliable transportation/own vehicle.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and meet applicable employment and background requirements.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:
  • Current Pharmacy Technician skills checklist.
  • Supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years.
  • Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician registration/license.

SCHEDULE:
  • 10- or 12-hour shifts.
  • Schedule accommodations will not be considered, so candidates must be able to work the posted shifts.
