Mobile Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary:
Provide mobile X-ray and, when applicable, EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other locations. The technologist will travel to various facilities to perform physician-ordered diagnostic exams using portable equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and process X-rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment.
- Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent X-ray images.
- Transport and set up portable X-ray equipment at assigned facilities.
- Perform EKGs as needed and transmit results for interpretation.
- Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents according to protocol.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch and management.
- Maintain professional communication with patients, clients, coworkers, and supervisory staff.
- Maintain assigned vehicle and X-ray equipment.
- Submit/transmit completed studies to the appropriate physician for interpretation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push and pull portable imaging equipment weighing approximately 50–100 lbs.
- Ability to safely transport equipment into healthcare facilities and homes.
- Reasonable accommodations may be available for qualified individuals.
Requirements:
- ARRT certification required.
- California state license required
- Limited licenses are not accepted.
- Valid California driver's license in good standing required.
- COVID-19 vaccination required; candidates requesting an exemption must provide appropriate supporting documentation.
