Certified Nursing Assistant – Long-Term Care
SHIFT:
- 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.
All weekends required.
Must be willing to float to other units as needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Provide supportive services to nurses and other healthcare staff as assigned.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living according to individualized care plans.
- Assist with lifting, turning, repositioning, transferring, and transporting residents.
- Assist residents into and out of beds, chairs, wheelchairs, bathtubs, and lifts.
- Support dining services, including meal setup, tray delivery, feeding assistance, and cleanup.
- Document meal and nutritional supplement intake.
- Assist with resident weights and report significant changes to nursing staff.
- Monitor and report skin concerns, including pressure areas, skin breakdown, or skin tears.
- Assist nursing staff with toileting programs.
- Complete required daily flow sheets and resident documentation.
- Report resident refusals, changes in condition, and other concerns to the nurse or supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1 year of Long-Term Care experience – REQUIRED.
- Previous travel experience – REQUIRED.
- High school diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED.
- Current AHA BLS certification – REQUIRED.
- Successful work history demonstrating assignments/employment lasting longer than 13 weeks – REQUIRED.
- No active disciplinary action against certification – REQUIRED.
- Active certification/license at the time of submission – REQUIRED
