POSITION SUMMARY:
This role provides clinical counseling and case management services for patients with substance use disorders, including opioid addiction. The counselor is responsible for assessments, treatment planning, patient education, and ongoing support while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual counseling and opioid addiction treatment services.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and external agencies.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation and files.
  • Conduct patient intakes, orientations, and discharge planning.
  • Provide crisis intervention and patient advocacy.
  • Track and interpret lab results (e.g., drug screenings) to support treatment decisions.
  • Assist with program evaluation, development, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Participate in staff meetings and supervision sessions.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Active or in-process state licensure/certification required.
  • LCAS (Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist) required.
  • Experience working with opioid-addicted populations required.
  • Strong skills in assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
  • Knowledge of addiction, drug effects, overdose signs, and related systems (medical, legal, social)
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
