JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care and daily clinical operations. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient service while assisting with clinical and administrative duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful approach with patients and families.
- Bring patients to exam rooms, obtain brief medical histories, and record vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Assist physicians with examinations and office procedures.
- Provide patient and family education and counselin
- Administer injections as directed.
- Handle referrals, appointment scheduling, forms, phone calls, and other clerical duties.
- Stock exam rooms and maintain instruments and equipment.
- Clean and autoclave equipment as required.
- Participate in staff meetings and in-service training.
- Assist with orientation of new personnel when needed.
- Help maintain efficient patient flow and coordinated care.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience – Required.
- High School Diploma – Required.
- Comfortable answering phones, greeting patients, processing paperwork, mailing, and cleaning.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be comfortable working in a temporary/contract position.
- BLS is not required.
