Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) | Nights
POSITION SUMMARY:
This LDRP role supports comprehensive maternal and newborn care, including OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care.
This position does not require circulating or scrubbing in the OR.
The RN will provide patient-centered care within the scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Responsibilities also include patient education, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality outcomes.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage patient care across OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery services
- Apply the nursing process to deliver safe and effective maternal and newborn care
- Educate patients, family members, and support persons regarding care plans and treatment
- Document all patient care accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate overall patient care
- Utilize OBIX for fetal surveillance and Epic for electronic health record documentation
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Current fetal heart monitoring experience required
- BLS (AHA) required
- NRP required
- Active Oregon RN License required (or willing to obtain)
HIGHLY PREFERRED:
- OBIX experience
- Epic EMR experience
- EFM certification
- STABLE certification
