PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – RETAIL
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Seeking a certified Pharmacy Technician with retail pharmacy experience to support daily pharmacy operations, prescription processing, medication preparation, and patient service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare medications for patients.
- Receive and verify prescriptions.
- Price and fill prescriptions.
- Obtain pharmacist approval.
- Complete patient paperwork related to prescriptions.
- Assist with insurance claims processing.
- Stock and price medications and maintain inventory.
- Deliver medications to patients or facilities as needed.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and pharmacy policies and regulations.
- Maintain a safe and organized pharmacy environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous retail pharmacy experience – REQUIRED.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification from any recognized certifying organization – REQUIRED.
- EPIC experience – REQUIRED.
- Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician License at time of submission – REQUIRED.
- BLS certification – PREFERRED.
