MRI Technologist – Nights
Job Summary:
Performs routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients of all ages. Ensures patient safety, image quality, and compliance with MRI and ARRT standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations using appropriate protocols, positioning techniques, and safety procedures.
- Administer contrast media as required.
- Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists when necessary.
- Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures.
- Follow all MRI safety standards and department policies.
- Assist radiologists with MRI procedures as needed.
- Evaluate images for technical quality.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform safety checks on MRI equipment.
- Maintain MRI equipment and supplies.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and quality control procedures.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Provide courteous and professional patient care.
- Perform assigned supervisory functions as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of recent GE MRI experience – Required.
- ARRT Certification – Required.
- BLS Certification – Required.
