Locum Surgical NP/PA
Schedule:
  • Variable schedule
  • Must be available September 28 – October 9, with additional coverage throughout the assignment
  • Weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM (1–2 weekends per month)
  • Weekend rounds: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Opportunity for 4 weeknight call shifts per month (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Orientation preferred the week before October 1
Position Highlights:
  • Surgical First Assist in the OR combined with Medical/Surgical floor coverage
  • Work primarily with General Surgery, Orthopedics, and OB/GYN
  • Weekend call may include C-sections and hip fracture cases
  • Robotics experience required
  • Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
  • EMR: Epic
Responsibilities:
  • First assist during surgical procedures
  • Patient rounding, progress notes, consults, order management, and discharges
  • Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to provide inpatient care
Requirements:
  • Active New York NP or PA License
  • Board Certified
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical First Assist experience
  • Robotics experience required
  • Epic experience required
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ATLS
  • Strong communication skills
