Locum Surgical NP/PA

Schedule:

Variable schedule.
Must be available September 28 – October 9, with additional coverage throughout the assignment.
Weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM (1–2 weekends per month).
Weekend rounds: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Opportunity for 4 weeknight call shifts per month (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Orientation preferred the week before October 1.

Position Highlights:

Surgical First Assist in the OR combined with Medical/Surgical floor coverage.
Work primarily with General Surgery, Orthopedics, and OB/GYN.
Weekend call may include C-sections and hip fracture cases.
Robotics experience required.
Orthopedic experience strongly preferred.
EMR: Epic.

Responsibilities:

First assist during surgical procedures.
Patient rounding, progress notes, consults, order management, and discharges.
Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to provide inpatient care.

Requirements:

Active New York NP or PA License.
Board Certified.
Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical First Assist experience.
Robotics experience required.
Epic experience required.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ATLS.
Strong communication skills.
