MEDICAL ASSISTANT – OUTPATIENT CLINIC

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support providers and manage patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic. The role serves patients across all age groups, from infants through geriatrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Room patients and obtain vital signs.
Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed.
Collect laboratory specimens.
Provide telephone and patient support.
Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
Facilitate communication between patients and providers.
Perform phlebotomy and clinic laboratory testing as needed.
Provide front desk/check-in support.
Order and stock supplies.
Perform X-ray duties if properly qualified and certified.
Collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinic leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (ABHES,
CAAHEP, or equivalent).
Current BLS Certification.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work with patients across all age groups.

LPN candidates may also be considered.

LPN REQUIREMENTS:

Active Minnesota LPN license.
Current BLS Certification.
