Mobile Echo/Vascular Sonographer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Mobile Echo/Vascular Sonographer to provide high-quality ultrasound services at a variety of healthcare facilities. This role involves traveling to patient sites using a company-provided vehicle, performing diagnostic ultrasound exams, and transmitting images to a radiologist for interpretation. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and traveling throughout the assigned service area.
Schedule:
- Full-time.
- Mobile position with daily travel to multiple patient locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mobile Echo and Vascular ultrasound examinations using portable equipment.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and transmit them electronically for interpretation.
- Verify physician orders and patient identity before every exam.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required paperwork daily.
- Coordinate with dispatch regarding daily assignments and case availability.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and company vehicle.
- Deliver compassionate, professional patient care while adhering to safety and infection control standards.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- Registered with ARDMS or CCI in Vascular Ultrasound.
- Experience in Echo and Vascular ultrasound.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Active certifications and credentials must be maintained.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to transport portable ultrasound equipment weighing approximately 20 pounds.
- Ability to move equipment over varying distances throughout healthcare facilities.
