CVU RN Assignment Summary:
This Cardiovascular Unit RN position cares for patients undergoing advanced cardiac procedures, including interventional cardiology and post-open-heart surgery recovery, as well as patients with heart failure and electrophysiology conditions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience (floating experience does not count).
- EKG experience required.
- Willingness to float to similar units.
- Experience with Neuro, CVICU, and Trauma preferred.
- Experience managing ventilators, CRRT, and balloon pumps preferred.
- Skills checklist completed within the last year is required.
- Active Michigan RN license at the time of submission.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Important Notes:
- A strict 3-strike attendance policy is in effect: three absences or instances of arriving more than 20 minutes late may result in immediate termination. Exceptions may be considered for documented hospitalization or communicable illness.
- References are not required.
- Nurses must provide license verification, and any prior license actions should include an explanation for review.
- Recent full-time employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
