CVU RN Assignment Summary:

This Cardiovascular Unit RN position cares for patients undergoing advanced cardiac procedures, including interventional cardiology and post-open-heart surgery recovery, as well as patients with heart failure and electrophysiology conditions.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience (floating experience does not count).
EKG experience required.
Willingness to float to similar units.
Experience with Neuro, CVICU, and Trauma preferred.
Experience managing ventilators, CRRT, and balloon pumps preferred.
Skills checklist completed within the last year is required.
Active Michigan RN license at the time of submission.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Important Notes:

A strict 3-strike attendance policy is in effect: three absences or instances of arriving more than 20 minutes late may result in immediate termination. Exceptions may be considered for documented hospitalization or communicable illness.
References are not required.
Nurses must provide license verification, and any prior license actions should include an explanation for review.
Recent full-time employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
