IMMEDIATE NEED / URGENT BACKFILL

CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT:

Must be flexible to work at other nearby offices as needed.
Minimum 2 years of current Medical Assistant experience required.
Previous travel experience highly preferred.
Previous Cardiology experience highly preferred.
AAMA or equivalent certification required.
Active AHA BLS required.
Must work well as part of a team and remain flexible.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform blood draws, injections, immunizations, lab testing, and other procedures within MA scope.
Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Obtain and document vital signs.
Prepare examination rooms and keep rooms clean and stocked.
Assist patients with rooming, preparation, and movement throughout the visit.
Make and return patient phone calls as directed by the provider.
Provide patient instructions as directed by the provider.
Assist with medical records, referrals, lab slips, and other documentation.
Requisition supplies and help maintain adequate inventory.
Assist with nursing procedures as directed by the provider.
Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical environment.

1 supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment.
Active AHA BLS – documentation required.
License verification required.
AAMA or equivalent certification must be in hand and uploaded.
