⚡ POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for providing inpatient pharmacy support across multiple hospital departments including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency Department. The pharmacist must be comfortable working independently, especially during weekend coverage, and ensuring safe medication management and patient care.
📅 SCHEDULE:
• Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
• Day shifts: 7:00/7:30 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
• Rotating weekends every 3rd weekend
• Weekend schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• ASAP start preferred
📋 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide inpatient pharmacy coverage for hospital departments including ICU, L&D, M/S, and ED
• Review, verify, and dispense medications safely and accurately
• Support clinical staff with medication management and pharmaceutical guidance
• Work independently during weekend coverage and off-peak staffing times
• Maintain compliance with hospital pharmacy protocols and documentation systems
• Utilize Meditech and Omnicell systems when applicable
🛑 SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 2 years current hospital pharmacy experience required
• 2–5 years total experience preferred
• Previous hospital experience required
• Critical Access Hospital experience highly preferred
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Meditech experience highly preferred
• Omnicell experience highly preferred
• No local candidates (permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility)
