POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for providing inpatient pharmacy support across multiple hospital departments including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency Department. The pharmacist must be comfortable working independently, especially during weekend coverage, and ensuring safe medication management and patient care.

SCHEDULE:

Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Day shifts: 7:00/7:30 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
Rotating weekends every 3rd weekend
Weekend schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
ASAP start preferred

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide inpatient pharmacy coverage for hospital departments including ICU, L&D, M/S, and ED
Review, verify, and dispense medications safely and accurately
Support clinical staff with medication management and pharmaceutical guidance
Work independently during weekend coverage and off-peak staffing times
Maintain compliance with hospital pharmacy protocols and documentation systems
Utilize Meditech and Omnicell systems when applicable

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2 years current hospital pharmacy experience required
2–5 years total experience preferred
Previous hospital experience required
Critical Access Hospital experience highly preferred
Previous travel experience highly preferred
Meditech experience highly preferred
Omnicell experience highly preferred
No local candidates (permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility)
