Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Physical Therapist Assistants work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to deliver treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and assist in modifying care as needed. They provide hands-on support to patients across all age groups, helping them improve mobility, strength, and overall function.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement components of patient treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
Assist patients with stretching, exercises, and balance training techniques.
Follow treatment instructions and collaborate closely with the supervising Physical Therapist.
Monitor and document patient responses to treatment.
Educate patients and families on appropriate at-home techniques and exercises.
Transfer and assist patients safely between mobility devices and therapy areas.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
Complete administrative duties, including scheduling and documentation.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist Assistant experience.
Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation experience required.
Active PTA license.
BLS certification required.
Eligible for state licensure, including compact privileges where applicable.

This role is ideal for PTAs who are passionate about patient care, teamwork, and helping individuals regain and maintain their independence through rehabilitation services.
